Delete your account

The fastest way. Takes less than a minute.

1. Open EasyListen and sign in.
2. Go to Profile (bottom-right tab) → Settings (gear icon).
3. Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete Account.
4. Confirm by typing the word DELETE — this is irreversible.

Your account and all data are removed immediately from our live database. Backup snapshots that include your data expire within 30 days.

If you can't sign in, the app is uninstalled, or you simply prefer email, send a message from the email address linked to your EasyListen account to:

Please include:

• The subject line [EasyListen · Delete Account].
• The email address associated with your account.
• (Optional) The reason you are leaving — it genuinely helps us improve.

We will confirm your identity by replying to your email and process the deletion within 7 days. You will receive a final confirmation message once the deletion is complete.

• Your profile (email, display name, language and level preferences).
• All learning data (lessons completed, quiz scores, streak, vocabulary).
• Any generated audio or lesson text cached against your user ID.
• Your subscription record in our backend (subscriptions themselves are managed by Apple or Google — see below).

Deleting your account does not automatically cancel a Premium subscription because Apple and Google hold the billing relationship. If you are a Premium subscriber, cancel the subscription from your device first to avoid further charges:

• iOS: Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → EasyListen → Cancel Subscription.
• Android: Google Play Store → Profile → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions → EasyListen → Cancel.

A small amount of data may persist for a short window after deletion:

• Backup snapshots (up to 30 days).
• Server logs with anonymized IDs, retained for security and abuse prevention.
• Records required by law (e.g. tax records for past subscription payments).

These copies are not actively used and are rotated out on the schedule of the underlying provider.
