Terms of Service

EasyListen is built by Jang Acuña Ferrer, an independent developer based in Uruguay. Contact: jang94uruguay@gmail.com.

You must be at least 18 years old to create an account and use EasyListen. By signing in you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

You create an account by signing in with Apple on iOS, Google on Android, or by requesting a one-time code sent to your email on either platform. You are responsible for the security of the device and inbox linked to your account. If you believe your account has been accessed without your permission, contact us immediately.

One account is for one person. You may not share credentials, resell access to your account, or use the app on behalf of someone else.

When using EasyListen, you agree not to:

• Reverse-engineer, scrape, or copy the app's code, audio files, or lesson data.
• Abuse the lesson-generation system (for example by automated prompts intended to consume resources without real learning intent).
• Use the app to generate or request content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, or promotes harm.
• Interfere with the service's normal operation or attempt to bypass security, rate limits, or subscription checks.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these rules.

EasyListen offers a free tier and an optional Premium subscription that unlocks additional features (such as extended lesson generation limits or exclusive levels).

• Payment is processed by Apple or Google through your App Store or Google Play account. We do not handle your payment details.
• Auto-renewal: subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the renewal date through your device's subscription settings.
• Cancellation: you can cancel at any time from your device. Cancellation stops future renewals; it does not refund the current billing period.
• Refunds are governed by Apple's and Google's refund policies and handled through them, not through us.
• Price changes: we may change subscription prices. Existing subscribers will be notified in advance by email and can cancel before the new price applies.

Lesson text, comprehension questions, and translations are generated by AI (Google Gemini). Audio is produced by a neural text-to-speech model. AI output is reviewed through quality heuristics but can occasionally contain errors — incorrect translations, unnatural phrasings, or factual mistakes.

EasyListen is a practice and training tool. It is not a substitute for a certified teacher, an accredited test preparation course, or professional translation. Use your own judgment, especially for high-stakes language use (work, school, travel documents).

The app, its design, trademarks, and underlying code are owned by the developer and protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws. You are granted a limited, personal, non-transferable license to use EasyListen for your own language learning.

AI-generated lesson content is made available to you as part of the service. You may use it personally but may not redistribute, republish, or resell it as a stand-alone product.

How we handle your data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which is part of these terms by reference.

We aim to keep EasyListen running 24/7 but we cannot guarantee uninterrupted service. The app may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, third-party provider outages (Supabase, Google Cloud, Apple/Google), or unforeseen technical issues. We are not liable for interruptions outside our reasonable control.

You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Settings → Delete Account or by emailing us. See the Delete Account page for details.

We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or if we discontinue the service. If we discontinue the service we will provide reasonable notice inside the app and by email.

EasyListen is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app — including, without limitation, loss of data, loss of progress, or language-learning outcomes.

Our total liability, if any, is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months preceding the event that gave rise to the claim.

We may update these terms to reflect changes in features, legal requirements, or business practices. Whenever we do, the updated Effective Date will appear at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after that date constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, so we recommend checking back from time to time.

These terms are governed by the laws of Uruguay. Any dispute that cannot be resolved amicably will be submitted to the competent courts of Montevideo, Uruguay.
